- Microsoft loosing the battle but because they own Microsoft they dominate pc space
- Handhelds remain universally popular (Nintendo switch 153 million units sold)
- Nintendo sold so many units due to: portability, versatility, and exclusive games.
Digital convergence.
Digital convergence is when one media device can access multiple forms of media.
Games consoles are an excellent example of a digitally convergent device, you can not only play games but access media too. the first example of convergence was the ps2 where you could use it also as a DVD player
shareability leads to more leaks and more hacking due to more access to the media via one device

- Fortnite is not pay to win, only cosmetically mods your character, no in game advantages
- idea that 3rd party game creators create games to be played on other consoles, 1st party for their own
- Microsoft bought EA for 68billion
- XBOX gamepass, developers feel preasured to use things such as gamepass to market their games

-Creator codes, giving streamers more money
